1. What this tool is. DuctIQ ("the Tool") is a free general-purpose calculator provided by FTC Group Pty Ltd (ABN 70 694 989 994) ("FTC Group") via TradieRoles. It is provided for preliminary estimation and general information only.
2. No professional advice. The Tool and its outputs (including any generated report) do not constitute engineering, electrical, plumbing, building, or other professional advice, and do not certify compliance with any standard, code, or regulation, including AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008, AS/NZS 3500, AIRAH DA3, ASHRAE, the National Construction Code, or any manufacturer requirement.
3. Your responsibilities. You are solely responsible for: (a) the accuracy of all inputs; (b) independently verifying all outputs against applicable standards, regulations, site conditions, and manufacturer data before any reliance; and (c) ensuring all design and installation work is carried out, checked, and certified by an appropriately licensed and qualified person. Default coefficients, dimensions, and loss values in the Tool are typical published figures only.
4. No warranty. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Tool is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, and FTC Group does not warrant that the Tool or its outputs are accurate, complete, reliable, current, or fit for any particular purpose.
5. Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, FTC Group and its officers, employees, and contractors exclude all liability for any loss or damage (including direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, loss of profit, property damage, personal injury, or death) arising from or in connection with use of, or reliance on, the Tool or its outputs, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), statute, or otherwise.
6. Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty, or other term or condition, implied or imposed by the Australian Consumer Law or any other legislation which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, FTC Group's liability is limited, at its election, to the resupply of the services or the cost of resupplying the services.
7. General. These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. By clicking "I accept" or by using the Tool, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Tool.
